In the name of God Amen. I Polly Owens of Currituck County and state of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory blessed be God, do this day make and ordain this to be my last will and testament as follows.

Item 1st I give to my son Hezekiah Owens one bed and stead and furniture.

Item 2nd I give to my son Benjamin Owens one bed and stead and furniture.

Item 3rd I give to my son Frederick Owens one bed and furniture.

Item 4th I give to my daughter Amy Forbes one safe.

Item 5th I give to my daughter Nancy Owens one black woman by the name of Fibney also one bed and furniture also one bureau and one _______ and all in it, also one _____ _____ also half what provisions I may have on hand, and the other half to my son Frederick Owens.

Item 6th It is my will that all the rest of my property not willed away shall be sold and equally divided between all my children that is to say Washington Owens, Hezekiah Owens, Benjamin Owens, Frederick Owens, Nancy Owens and Sivilty Mercer.

In testament where of I have set my hand and seal this the 23rd day of February 1850.
